Jehovah-Rapha: the Lord Who Heals

signed and number limited edition print by Dianne Gardner

one size only - 18" X 24" $120.00 Item C-3

It was the custom for the Jewish men to wear a robe called a tallit around their shoulders in the synagogue and whenever they were in worship.  The tallit distinguished  the Jews from other peoples and testified they belonged to God, The fringes at the end of the tallit are put in a hole about an inch from the edge of the garment.  The edge of the garment was called the hem, or wing.  By looking upon these.  The fringes number 613 which represent the number of laws given Moses. They are wrapped into a cord and attached in knots. The number of windings correspond to the numerical value of the Hebrew letters YH and Wh and ECHAD which spell, " The Lord is One." By looking upon these fringes and remembering God's law and His sovereignty the prayer shawl became a symbol of prophecy.  "But unto you who fear my name shall the Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings."  Malachai 4"2.  The woman with the issue of blood who suffered for twelve years and for whom there was no known cure,  knew this Scripture and believed that Jesus was the Son of Righteousness prophesied by the prophet Malachai. In faith she clung to the  promise of God that in the corner of His garment, or His wings, was healing.  She reached out for her only hope and was healed. Matthew 9: 20-22

This is more than a story. To many people Jesus has shown Himself as Healer. He invites you to put your trust in Him
